            Coping with the loss of a close friend or family member may be one of the hardest challenges that many of us face. How we handle this challenge is an experience that is individual to each of us. This design for an inter-faith funeral center is intended to create an atmosphere so unfamiliar and transformative, that it leads all in attendance to a deeply unifying experience. The interconnecting domed-volumes carved out of the interior spaces create a cave-like feeling where one may reflect on unfortunate situations, while oculi spread throughout the building providing moments of respite from the grief and sorrow that a death can inflict.
